Studio practice in Year 3 covers a fair bit of ground – business, ethics, hands-on techniques and finally building a portfolio. This planner follows the NaCCA sequence for both semesters.
First Semester (Weeks 1-12)

- Professional ethics: studio conduct and censorship in the arts.
- Art for development: reading hidden messages in artworks and working with biodegradable materials.
Second Semester (Weeks 13-24)
- 2D media: analogue and digital techniques for creating flat artworks.
- 3D fabrication: representation methods, plus additive and subtractive processes.
- Finishing and exhibition: advanced finishing techniques and how to run an exhibition.
- Digital portfolios: building a professional, portfolio-driven practice.
